CIF Industry Decarbonization Program EOI Workshop

In October 2024, Climate Investment Funds (CIF) announced the deployment of up to $1 billion in funding under Industry Decarbonization Program. A recently launched Call for Expressions of Interest (EoIs) invites developing countries to participate in this first-of-its-kind program, which offers unprecedented private sector engagement - encouraging governments, industry and multilateral development banks partner to decarbonize in applying for funding.

This event will provide valuable information and guidance to country representatives, multilateral development banks (MDBs), and other stakeholders in developing their EOIs. The workshop intends to help relevant stakeholders deepen the relevance and transformational intent of their EOIs. Key focus areas include:

• Clarifying the CIF program funding process,  
• Highlighting the CIF’s programmatic approach,  
• Understanding the focus of the Industrial Decarbonization Program,  
• Outlining CIF’s key investment criteria (e.g., transformational change, just transition, gender and social inclusion), and e) outlining the Integrated Results Framework and some of the key Indicators.
