This webinar focused on CIF’s work to better understand socio-economic development impacts of climate finance and just transitions. The webinar shared initial results from the economic modeling and analysis of CIF’s Clean Technology Fund (CTF) portfolio and provided an introduction to the recently launched Just Transition Initiative, along with interactive discussion. The webinar focused on early findings, preliminary frameworks, and future work to help assess, define, and support socio-economic development impacts and energy transitions through the broader transformative actions needed to address the climate crisis.

Sarah Ladislaw
Senior Vice President; Director and Senior Fellow, Energy Security and Climate Change Program Center for Strategic & International Studies

Sarah Ladislaw leads CSIS’s work in energy policy, market, and technology analysis. Ladislaw is an expert in U.S. energy policy, global oil and natural gas markets, and climate change. She has authored numerous publications on the geopolitics of energy, energy security and climate change, low-carbon pathways, and a wide variety of issues on U.S. energy policy, regulation, and market dynamics. Her regional energy work includes publications on Chinese, European, African, and Western Hemisphere energy issues.

Nicole Pasricha
Independent Consultant Climate Investment Funds

Based in Montreal, Canada, Nicole Pasricha is a sustainability and finance professional applying data-driven, interdisciplinary approaches to designing business solutions to climate change. Pasricha brings more than 16 years of experience in development finance, sustainable agriculture and forestry commodities and certification, pro-poor value chain development, and financial inclusion to support investors and the private sector to strengthen development impact design and measurement approaches, especially for climate-related financing.
