The Transformational Change Learning Partnership (TCLP) Working Session on June 26, 2025, will focus on the upcoming CIF Clean Energy Learning Laboratory (CELL).
CIF has a track record of developing impactful learning platforms such as its Global Energy Storage Program (GESP) and the Renewable Energy Integration (REI) Program. Now, CIF will be merging and expanding these learning platforms to create the Clean Energy Learning Laboratory or CELL. This evolution allows CIF to generate, apply, and share knowledge on clean energy advancements and make knowledge accessible to all CIF stakeholders. For example, CELL aims to orient partner countries on how to use new financing modalities, apply lessons learned through CIF investments, and fulfill the organization’s continued mandate as a learning laboratory through multistakeholder engagement.
CELL will be launched at a learning event in September, which will build on the REI Learning Platform engagement held in Tunisia, in May 2024. The workshop focused building the technical capacity among developing country governments, multilateral development banks, and other energy sector stakeholders.
Alfredo Villavicencio Vieira, CIF Evaluation Specialist, will lead the discussion about CELL, and the value of strategic learning initiatives for partner countries.
This virtual working session forms part of a series of informal 60-minute workshops to collaborate on evidence, knowledge, and analysis that can drive transformational change in climate action and grow the TCLP’s community of practice. Follow the series here.
Presentation on CIF’s Upcoming Clean Energy Learning Laboratory
09:20 AM - 09:55 AM
Discussion
The speaker will work through three questions during this session: 1. What added value does your organization see for the Clean Energy Learning Laboratory? 2. Would there be any particular activity or approach that you believe the Clean Energy Learning Laboratory should consider? 3. What similar clean energy learning platforms does your organization manage and/or are you aware of?
